We have a new queen! As official sponsors, the Queenly team was able to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and watch the 70th Miss USA crowning live at the River Spirit Casino Resort.
Elle is new to the pageant community, but she already secured her place in history as the 70th Miss USA. A member of the University of Kentucky Class of 2020, Elle majored in broadcast journalism and works as a reporter for Louisville’s WHAS11. This queen is now on her way to compete at Miss Universe 2021!
Although Elle is truly deserving of the crown, all 51 delegates absolutely shined on stage! When it came time to make the first cut, we were so excited to hear Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia called into the Top 16. After watching these fierce queens compete in swimsuit and evening gown, this gorgeous group got cut in half!
The Top 8 at Miss USA was an incredible group made up of Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Texas. These ladies then competed in a brand new competition, a group discussion! The group girl chat gave the audience a unique opportunity to learn about their personalities on a deeper level.
Instead of a Top 5 or Top 3 like last years, Pageantry Reimagined transformed this group into a Top 4! At the end of the night, we watched Sydni Bennett of Illinois, Ashley Carino of Florida, Caitlyn Vogel of North Dakota, and Elle Smith of Kentucky earn the top spots.
Since Queenly is all about formal wear, you know we loved the evening gown competition! Our new Miss USA shined in her high cut silver gown. We can’t wait to see which type of gown Elle wears at the Miss Universe pageant!
We’re so excited to follow Elle throughout her reign as Miss USA! Congratulations, queen!
